Blonde is an upcoming American biographical film written and directed by Andrew Dominik Adapted from the 2000 novel of the same name by Joyce Carol Oates, the film is a fictionalized take on the life of actress Marilyn Monroe, played by Ana de Armas. Adrien Brody, Bobby Cannavale, Xavier Samuel, and Julianne Nicholson also appear in supporting roles. Much of Blonde's cinematography is in black and white; other portions of the film are to be set in color.[5][6][7]

dede Gardner, jeremy ,kleiner Tracey Landon, brade pitt, and Scott Robertson serve as producers on the film, which, after a lengthy period of development that began in 2010, began production in Los Angeles in August 2019. Production wrapped in July 2021, following the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.
Blonde is scheduled to be released on September 28, 2022 by Netflix. It is the only film of 2022 to be rated NC-17, given for its graphic sexual content, and will be the first of its kind to be released through a streaming service.[8][9]
